One Business Operating System

Stop using AI. Start running on it.

Most companies bolt AI onto a handful of tasks and call it a strategy. 1BOS makes it the layer your whole business operates on — and scores how deeply every function actually runs on it.

Built for owners and executives — not seat-by-seat licences.

How it works

Three steps from “we use AI” to a business that runs on your standard.

1BOS isn't a tool you're handed and left to figure out. It's your own instance, configured around how you want the business run, then rolled out one function at a time.

  1. Book your consultation

A free working session. We walk your business function by function and grade where each one actually sits on the 5 Levels of AI Deployment.

    • Your AI Deployment Levels, by department
    • The single highest-leverage next move
    • Yours to keep, whether you go ahead or not
  2. Configure your 1BOS

We download your vision — what the business is, how you want it run, what everything should be accountable to — and install it as the operating authority. Then we connect your tools so it can see the work happening.

    • Your own instance — your data, your knowledge base
    • Your standard encoded once, applied everywhere
    • Sovereign from day one — revocable by you
  3. Deploy across the business

You climb the levels function by function, on a schedule you set. The dashboard keeps score, so levelling up is a number you can hold people to rather than a vague ambition.

    • Live scores for every person, team and department
    • A target level and date, per function
    • Dimensions scored as you climb, not bolted on after

You don't have to reach Level 5 everywhere. Most businesses win by moving two or three functions up a single rung — the point is knowing which ones, and in what order.

The brain of your company

A business is a brain. Cash is its willpower.

Owners burn cash constantly because the company's working memory is small and its habits go stale — so every fix gets paid for by hand. 1BOS is the memory and processing upgrade.

Without an operating system

The standard runs when you're present and drifts when you're not. Every department reads it differently, and you find out at quarter's end.

With 1BOS

Your standard runs everywhere at once and reports back in a number you can act on. You stop being a worker in the business and become the one boss of it.

The 5 Levels of AI Deployment

Five levels. One honest answer to “how are we doing with AI?”

1BOS grades every function on a ladder climbing two axes — conscious to unconscious prompting, and passive to active. Vague ambition becomes a precise next move.

Level 0 · Blind

Before any of this, AI is already shaping your business — the search results your customers see, the ad platforms setting your costs, the tools your competitors bought last quarter. Exposed to every effect of it, capturing none of the benefit. Almost nobody starts at Level 1.

  1. Ask Conscious prompting · it informs, you act

You deliberately open a chat window and ask how to do something. It answers, and you go do it. Genuinely useful, and where the overwhelming majority of businesses actually sit — but the intelligence stops at the edge of your screen. Nothing in the business changes unless a person carries it across.

  2. Do Conscious prompting · it takes action

You prompt it to execute a discrete task: draft the email, build the sheet, review the contract. One prompt, one result, every time. The line between Ask and Do is advice versus labour — this is the first rung where AI does the work rather than telling you about it. It's still entirely reactive to you, and every result needs a fresh prompt.

  3. Run Prompted once · it runs on its own

You set a standing job up one time and it self-initiates from then on — on a schedule, or whenever something happens. The leap here isn't that the AI got smarter. It's who pulls the trigger: at Level 2 you pull it every single time; at Level 3 you wire it once and it pulls its own from then on. This is where AI stops being a tool you pick up and becomes a worker you employ — and it's the boundary most businesses never cross.

  4. Sense Unconscious prompting · it perceives, doesn't act

You install senses — meeting notes, inbox and calendar listeners, CRM and event streams — so it receives context nobody consciously handed it. It absorbs what's happening across the business and builds real understanding of it, without waiting to be briefed. It has eyes, ears and memory. It does not yet have hands, and that restraint is deliberate.

  5. Synergize Unconscious prompting · it senses, acts, delivers

It acts on what it senses and closes the loop to a finished outcome, with no conscious prompt anywhere in the chain. Heard it in the meeting, handled it, done — the business and the AI finally working as one system rather than one waiting on the other. This is also where the Dimensions below stop being optional: as oversight drops, watching the loop quietly decays into ignoring it, and capability this high without accountability is a liability with good manners.

The Dimensions

Domains that multiply what every level is worth.

Dimensions aren't higher rungs — they're present or absent at any level, and each one amplifies the whole ladder. A Level 2 tool can have all of them; a Level 5 agent can have none. 1BOS scores them separately at every rung.

Accountable

A reviewable account of what it did, why, on what data, and to what result — so the question shifts from who did what to why it happened.

Collaborative

It takes direction from your whole team and orchestrates across them. A single-principal AI amplifies one person; this amplifies the company.

Sovereign

You own the knowledge base, control the models and infrastructure, and hold its loyalty. The difference between renting intelligence and owning it.

Whose side is your AI on?

A non-sovereign AI is the Blind problem in a nicer suit.

  • Your data. What it learns about your business stays your asset.
  • Your infrastructure. Controlled by you, and revocable by you.
  • Your interests. An advocate for your business, not a platform agent wearing your logo.

Gmail's AI works for Google, not for you. It learns from everything you do — on behalf of the platform that owns it.
